British Airways to provide complimentary quick in-flight internet by way of space-based partnership

Travelers aboard British Airways can soon enjoy high-speed wifi in the air at no cost after a major deal with SpaceX's space company.

Complimentary plus Fast Wifi for All

The airline stated that this free, “reliable and lightning-fast” internet offering from the satellite provider is set to be accessible to customers flying economy, premium economy, or first class as of next month.

Broad Rollout Across Various Carriers

The holding company for British Airways, the airline group, stated it had secured an partnership involving Starlink to offer wifi access on over 500 aircraft operated by the group's airlines, such as the Irish airline, the Spanish carrier, plus Vueling.

Uninterrupted Wifi starting at Boarding to Landing

The airline stated that this implementation of the service formed part of a £7bn “upgrade” program that will offer uninterrupted internet access to passengers from boarding to landing, also when in flight above oceans or far-off locations.

Travelers will be able to link several electronics and they will not require a unique login.
