Football Analyst Chris Sutton Battles Artist Olly Murs in Top Flight Predictions

The Gunners' ten-match winning streak came to an end by the Black Cats before the global hiatus, but can the English top division leaders recover against north London rivals Spurs this weekend?

"{I feel like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this match," remarked football expert Chris Sutton.

"The Spurs manager will attempt to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating finest this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's team typically still find a way to win."

Sutton is making predictions for all 380 Premier League fixtures this term, versus AI, fans and a range of special visitors.

For the twelfth round, he faces singer Olly Murs, who is a United fan.

The singer's new album, Knees Up, is available on the weekend.

Football and Parenting Experiences

Olly is a skilled soccer player as well as a accomplished artist and has been a featured player of multiple charity football games down the years - but he is not intending a professional comeback as a player.

"{I recently played in a charity game the other evening for a friend of mine," he said. "The side was trailing 3-1 when I came off in the 60th minute, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you want!

"I still love football, but I injured my knee a few years ago and it even now hasn't fully recovered. I wish I could play more but the uncertainty of the sport means it's too risky for me in my career to do it properly again.

"Plus I am 41 now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am gearing up for the time that my daughter or son decides to play instead."

The singer and his spouse his partner have two children, Madison and Albert, and he is prepared to emulate his dad by taking on the role of their coach.

"I won't push football on our children but I've already told Amelia that if they do get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will likely be coaching their Saturday football side," he added.

"I observed my relatives play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I clearly owned a soccer team for a period too.

"My dad did it with us when I was a kid, which is likely where I inherited it. He managed our team for several years and had great fun with it. That might be the next step for me as well, and I am excited to it!"

Premier League Predictions

Weekend, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

The Blues may have to wait a bit longer for Cole Palmer's return from fitness issues but their offense is now stronger with Joao Pedro and Liam Delap both returned to fitness.

I still think this fixture will be quite close, however. The Clarets are disciplined and their only home losses so far have been against the Reds and Arsenal.

It suggests a one-all draw to me, but I am actually going to go with Chelsea to edge it for what would be their third Premier League win in a row.

Sutton's prediction: 1-2

Olly's prediction: The Blues will be superior. 1-3

AI's outlook: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Cherries have been defeated in their past two matches - although both of them were on the road - but they got thoroughly beaten by Aston Villa last time out which surprised me.

In contrast, West Ham won back-to-back victories before the international break and, although both of those fixtures were at their stadium, they appear competitive again.

The Hammers' sole on the road victory this season came at Forest in the summer, when West Ham manager Nuno was previously that team's coach.

Therefore, what exactly do I predict here - can West Ham extending their run under their manager, or Bournemouth responding?

I will go with the Cherries, because I believe what happened against Villa was a blip.

Sutton's forecast: 2-0

Olly's outlook: The home team are doing well but the visitors have picked up under their boss. 2-2

The algorithm's pick: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Brentford were seen as one of the frontrunners for the drop before the season began, but they have surprised a few people under Keith Andrews and are in good form with three wins in their past four games.

A family member advised me to select Brentford striker Thiago in my Fantasy Football squad a few weeks back and, unfortunately, I didn't listen.

Thiago will probably score again on the weekend but I am still not going to pick him or back Brentford at Brighton's ground.

The Bees have not had great fortune on the road this term, and Brighton are consistently strong at home. The visitors will try to hit them on the counter-attack but I think Fabian Hurzeler's side pose much more of a danger.

Sutton's forecast: 2-1

The singer's prediction: It could be a match where you think there is going to be a lot of scores but it in reality proves to be rather close. 1-1

AI's outcome: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

This is a huge game for Fulham, who have lost five of their past six matches.

They have have lots of talent in their squad but it still seems like they could be sucked into a relegation battle.

Regarding Sunderland, well they are the surprise package of the Premier League campaign so far.

Their performance in the 2-2 draw with Arsenal last time out was superb. We've not witnessed any other team rough up the North London side like that this season, and they were fully competitive for them.

The logical choice to do to support the visitors here, because they are clearly capable of disrupting the hosts up too and, the previous occasion they were in this part of London, they beat Chelsea at the end of October.

However I am not going to choose that. Rather, I really need to carry on going against Sunderland with my forecasts. I am claiming a lot of credit for their positive results because they evidently enjoy to prove me wrong.

Considering Fulham's at Craven Cottage record, the only team they have been defeated by is the league leaders. Their manager's team will be extremely desperate for a positive result, so I am going to predict they will pick up three points.

Sutton's forecast: 1-0

Olly's choice: I know Sunderland are doing well and additionally that the hosts are on a poor streak... but they have nonetheless been decent at Craven Cottage this campaign. 2-0

AI's outlook: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

It is a hard one to predict. Liverpool have lost seven of their past 10 matches in all competitions, but might they be among the sides who profit from the {international break|
