The former president's Granddaughter Gets Professional Guidance from Tiger Woods Before Professional Golf Debut

Emerging athlete preparing for significant tournament

The rising star boasts substantial social media presence

The young golfer can count on multiple high-profile backers as she starts her LPGA debut on Thursday.

This teenage golfer, who happens to be connected to a former US president, was granted a special exemption to compete at the Annika competition in the Sunshine State.

The former president, someone who loves golf, operates several golf courses and regularly plays against his granddaughter.

"He's pretty good. I can't say much but we have tight competitions," she stated.

The golfer shared that her grandfather, unable to come, advised her: "Simply don't get nervous."

"My grandpa essentially suggested to go out there and enjoy myself," she added.

"To me, he's just a regular grandfather. He's not attending for the tournament. He's focused on presidential duties, so he's somewhat preoccupied."

As an amateur, Kai has participated in a mere three competitions this year and holds ranking 461 in AJGA rankings.

However she can seek guidance from Tiger Woods, romantically involved with Kai's mother.

"He represents the best player worldwide," Kai stated.

"And he's a more impressive human being. He suggested me to go out there, have fun, following whatever happens."

The golfer will compete against some of top competitors in professional golf at the competition, featuring second-ranked the champion, England's Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and 2023 champion Lilia Vu.

The LPGA mentioned that Kai's presence brings golf to new audiences, especially with younger fans.

Kai boasts a massive following and just introduced a personal clothing and lifestyle label.

Her first tee time at 17:30 GMT.
