NFL 2025 season: Week six

Live coverage includes live text of Sunday's games on multiple platforms, starting with Denver Broncos v New York Jets in London (kicking off at 2 PM BST). Additionally, audio coverage is available through select stations for another key matchup (from 21:00 BST).

It's week six in the NFL season , after recent talk regarding the Buffalo Bills and Philadelphia Eagles as a potential Super Bowl match-up, they both surrendered their perfect starts.

Striking in those games were the number of infractions each conceded. The Eagles committed them in key moments meaning they kind of beat themselves after leading 17-3 going into the fourth period against the Denver Broncos, set to play in London this Sunday.

However it proved good to observe that Denver quarterback Bo Nix was able to overcome the shortfall and then direct three successful possessions on three possessions during the final period, securing the game by four points.

The Broncos have the top defender in CB their star corner. They rank first in goal-line defense, while the Eagles are number one in red zone offence, yet Denver won that contest.

They had the Eagles' number regarding disguised blitzes. They did not necessarily sending extra defenders instead they could position two linebackers in the 'A' gap then drop them out and send a slot defender off the edge.

At the start in the campaign, we said on a program how Denver could be this season's dark horses. They finished last season strongly then excelled of building upon that.

Could Denver be this season's dark horses?

Recently acquired TE Evan Engram has excelled significantly while recent running back JK Dobbins is a guy the team trusts. He now ranks 5th in the NFL in ground gains (402) and tied for fourth in rushing scores (four).

It's impressive how the coach the Broncos' leader has "RUSH!" prominently on his call sheet.

This demonstrates that the Broncos represent a team that wants to run first, since one can do a lot off the back of that. It reduces down the pass rush while maintains in favourable situations.

This has helped quarterback Bo Nix, who entered into the league as the 12th overall draft pick in the prior draft, throwing 29 touchdown passes – just behind Justin Herbert in rookie records (31 in 2020).

Other elite QBs possess the arm strength to pass anywhere, however they lack the mobility that Nix has. He boasts incredible arm talent, a unique trait, and he is so athletic.

His strengths include his mobility, being able to pass on the run, and using different arm angles to deliver throws as he moves outside protection, on rollouts. He can throw that layered pass over the middle and over the corner.

As a rookie QB, at 25, he displays great poise in the pocket and is not really fazed by extra rushers. He tries to avoid being tackled whenever possible and can throw in tight spots. He has a high football IQ and is very decisive.

If you consistently rush it consumes the clock and makes the opponent to be in play extended periods, and if you have a mobile QB the defence must defend the area downfield and horizontally. This proves draining.

The quarterback has pushed back at Payton during games at times and it seems Payton likes that attitude, that he's a fierce rival. In my view it's fun for him to have a young quarterback that is similar to moldable clay. He can really build something up the way he desires to build it. I believe it's a special experience for the coach.

Payton has won a Super Bowl and has surpassed a legend in all-time victories (173 - tied 14th overall). He has witnessed everything. I think the success Denver are experiencing on offence is largely due to his leadership, his schemes, his game sense – and the pairing with Nix aids make him what he is.

You wouldn't want a better guy guiding you, to help you during difficult moments and build confidence.

I have faith in Denver's defence, in Bo Nix's tenacity and composure. But are they strong enough to go against an elite team at full strength? Since that was not championship-level play from Philadelphia last Sunday.

Right now, it's unlikely the Broncos are elite. They're performing better than most, which is a good place to be in their division. The key to do to continue this trajectory.

They excel at embracing their forte, that is running the ball, and this is precisely what they must do versus the Jets in London. It's going to be the JK Dobbins show, in essence.

New York have allowed 140 rushing yards each contest (among the worst), five ground scores this season (in the bottom ten), and they're the only team without a win any game.

Ever since the NFL started recording takeaways decades ago, this team are the first team to go without a single takeaway in five outings, this is kind of shocking when you think that the head coach Aaron Glenn defensive co-ordinator at the Detroit Lions.

The Chiefs' QB says Kansas City have 'already lost too many games' after Monday's defeat to Jacksonville.

After this Sunday's game, the Broncos have a manageable slate until their bye (in week twelve) - the New York Giants, Dallas Cowboys, Houston Texans plus the Raiders prior to the Chiefs.

In the AFC West, the Chiefs hold a losing record while Denver are even with the Los Angeles Chargers on 3-2 meaning they could make a run at leading the West.

It depends on which form Kansas City shows up they meet because Denver {beat|def
